Voluntary contributions may be made twice a year in order to increase retirement assets and insurance benefits. 

The application (Form E2) must be submitted by no later than 2 p.m. on Wednesday, 11 December 2024. After that, no more requests will be processed. 

A confirmation will be issued once the application has been checked and approved. Please do not transfer any amounts without our express approval.

The contribution must be paid by 18 December 2024 so that the deposit can be entered on this year’s books and included in the 2024 tax return.

The voting campaign on the BVG reform is intense and can lead to confusion. With this information, we want to explain how the reform will affect Livica and its insured members.

The BVG reform affects about 14% of all employees in Switzerland who are only minimally insured by their employers according to BVG requirements. All pension plans of employers affiliated with Livica have higher savings contributions. This results in a higher pension fund balance and a higher pension at Livica than required by law.

Important for you as an insured person or retiree: If the BVG reform is accepted on September 22, 2024, the benefits according to the pension regulations and the pension plan will not change. However, those born between 1961 and 1975 could receive a pension supplement under certain conditions. Were you born in one of these years? 2023 annual report and annual financial statements
The Foundation Board has approved the 2023 annual report and the revised annual financial statements, which show that 2023 was a satisfying investment year in which employers’ affiliated pension funds had returns between 6.8% and 7.7%. This allowed affiliated pension funds to pay interest of up to 5% on their insured persons’ retirement assets. Positive start to 2024
The 2024 stock market year has indicated a mixture of stability and volatility so far, with markets showing a moderately positive trend overall, despite the effects of the current geopolitical and economic uncertainties. At the end of April, the return for all employers’ affiliated pension funds was around 2.4 %. All affiliated pension funds have coverage ratios above 100%.

The Livica online portal is now live!
This means insured persons and pensioners have full control over their insurance data effective immediately. With the Livica online portal, they can now get a clear overview of their current pension situation. In addition, the built-in tax calculator allows them to better understand their tax situation. The online portal is also available as an app for iPhone (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play).
